How do I book Gigi or Fifi?

Complete the contact form on this website or contact us via phone, whatsapp, text, email or socials - whatever's easiest.

Once we've agreed availability according to date, venue & location, number of guests etc you can then secure the booking by paying a 25% non-refundable booking fee. The remaining balance needs to be paid no later than 30 days before the event.

How much does it cost to hire Gigi and Fifi?

How far can Gigi travel?

Accepted Answer

Gigi, being an "old lady", travels slowly so we generally limit events to within a 20 mile radius from her home in NN13, Brackley, Northamptonshire.

If your event or shoot is further afield, please contact us to discuss options.
We may be able to organise a trailer to get her to you...or you might want to consider if Fifi is better suited to your event.

Question 4

What do I need to think about in terms of access and suitability of the venue for Gigi?

Accepted Answer

Gigi is approximately the same size as a transit van, weighs 3 tonnes and does not have power assisted steering - she is tall and wide and so needs room to manoeuvre.

Any drive or track that she is expected to use must be sufficiently wide (at least 8'3" or 2.5 metres) and free of potholes or other impeding or potentially damaging obstructions.

She needs a minimum height clearance of 8'8" or 2.7 metres (consider bridges, trees etc.) and a 4 x 4 metre, solid, level base to operate from that can take 3 tonnes in weight.

Make sure that you have permission from your venue for Gigi to attend.  And as Gigi is a private hire vehicle, we do not have a street licence, so please make sure you make arrangements with your venue for the ice cream van to be parked on private land, that does not block a pedestrian right of way, endanger your guests or block a road.

Also, please bear in mind that we serve ice cream from a window on the passenger side of the vehicle.

What flavour ice creams do Gigi and Fifi serve?

Our delicious handmade dairy ice cream and sorbet is produced by the award-winning Saffron Ice Cream Company.

Special requests for ice cream or sorbet flavours are subject to availability but you can be 100% confident that all of our flavours are "certified delicious" - so we will bring sufficient variety to ensure all your guests leave delighted!

Question 6

Some of my guests have specific dietary requirements. Can you accommodate them?

Don't worry, Gigi's got your guest's dietary requirements covered!

Gigi will always have on board: 5 vegan options, numerous gluten free offerings (including gluten free cones) and we don't carry any ice creams or sorbets with nuts. Dairy-free, egg-free, soya-free options - we have those too.

There's something delicious for everyone!

Will Gigi bring enough ice cream for my event?

Yes! Gigi can store up to 1000 scoops - more than enough for your guests!

Will Gigi's engine be running throughout my event?

Accepted Answer

No!

Gigi doesn't require any power to serve up the ice cream - so there's no air or noise pollution at your event. And the only scent you'll enjoy is fragrant, delicious ice cream!

Question 9

How green is Gigi?

Accepted Answer

Well, she's pink but we do take sustainability seriously.

We ONLY use compostable and biodegradable pots and spoons. 
Gigi doesn't require any power to serve up ice cream - so no pollution (air or noise!) at your event.
We charge Gigi's freezer during lowest demand off-peak periods.
Gigi's delicious ice cream comes from a small business producing ice cream in small batches, using local ingredients.
Our ice cream cones are sourced from the last remaining British cone manufacturer, saving food miles.

What should I do if I need to change booking details - venue, date, number of guests etc?

We always aim to be flexible and may be able to accommodate your changes without any problem but the closer we get to the date of your event the more difficult that will be.
